Taking a day off! It’ll be my last day off for a while, so I’m definitely enjoying it! Not even sure when I’ll be off again since I have work the next 3 days, school the next 3 days after that then who knows when I work next week, crazyness!

Today was also a really good day because Brad and I went out to dinner to Red Lobster, which was nice since we didn’t get to go the other day because it was so crowded, so I finally got my Red Lobster fix, so good, but too much food! Then, we walked around this little plaza and went to Kirklands, where I found some really cool stuff! I found a guitar key ring and some guitar picture holders, they’re so neat! So that was exciting. Overall, great date night with my love.

And that I did! Sad to see it come to an end, but all good things must come to an end and I know I’ll be back. Sometimes it helps being away for a while and coming back, it just makes being home just a bit more sweeter, and it truly is like a mini vacation for me to be home.

Friday was awesome partying with everyone, then Saturday, me, my dad and Chris partyed together and me and my dad ended up staying up until 5:30 AM drinking, it was fun. Today was a lazy day, but I needed it.

Saturday was also crazy because we had to take O’Malley to the vet because he has some sort of ear infection, so we took him to Petsmart to get his nails clipped and we saw all these other animals there as well including one that looked just like O’Malley but smaller! So cute, I wanted him to bad. The vet there couldn’t get him in so we ended up going to another vet and that was an ordeal trying to find it! It was down Airport Blvd. and with the direcitons our brother gave us, he sent us to the airport, not Airport Blvd.! It was crazyness! I was so happy when it was all over and we got to bring O’Malley home, he got some antibiotics for his ear and should be fine, but that was definitely an adventure! And he hated it, he was meowing like crazy the whole time! So that made for a really interesting day too.

Had an awesome night last night hanging out with my family, Tony, and Chris! We drank too much, laughed too loud, and had a really great time! Beer + Billy Joel + Rock Band + Great family and friends = An awesome night! Great first night back! Woke up too early and hungover today, but well worth it! Now I have to recover to do it all over again tonight!

Mama I’m comin’ home! :D

I saw this today and thought it was funny…

It reminds me of the Bill Engvall joke…saying how when people see him when he’s dead he doesn’t want people to look at him and be like…oh, doesn’t he look good, he wants them to say Ha! He partied! Hahahaha, love it!

I’m so stoked to be going home tonight! I feel like I haven’t been home in forever, it has been nearly 3 weeks. Getting antsy waiting!

Oh! And on a side note…cutting my calories and exercising everyday has paid off, I’ve lost 5 pounds, that’s exciting. I just need to keep it up now!

That songs seems appropriate for today, it’s the 19th and it’s my 4th day in a row working…33 hours in 4 days, I’m exhausted! I’m not posting for the past 3 days because I did nothing but work! I have no idea how even got through that, but somehow I did. It’s funny…people keep treating me like I’m new, even though I’ve been with this company for 8 years, 3 and half years up front, and 5 years in the bakery, so there’s nothing new about it to me. A lot of people won’t even talk to me, it’s weird. That’s why I’ve also had the “People are Strange” song stuck in my head…”People are strange when you’re a stranger.” It’s true, they are. Also, “No one remembers your name when you’re strange.” That’s true too, someone did call me by the wrong name today. At least I don’t feel as stressed out when I come home from work like I did when I was in the bakery, so that’s one positive, but physically…everything hurts. I asked them to cut my hours down, she said she could make it so that I don’t work over 6 hours in one day, that would be amazing. I really don’t think I can take too many more 9-10 hours days, physically, mentally, and emotionally…it’s just draining. Anyhow, I can not wait to crawl into bed and to sleep until I wake up! So happy to be off tomorrow and to be able to sleep in and I’m going home to Orlando tomorrow! Can’t waiitttttt.

I think the clock is slow…

Today was day 1 of 4 of work this week. This store is so slow, I can’t stand it! There’s never anything to do! It’s pure torture watching the clock and I have all long days this week too…FML!

I saw this and I liked it…

I need to be more bold. It’s something I’m working on everyday. In the movie We Bought a Zoo, he said all it takes is to be courageous for just 20 seconds and sometimes that can make all the difference. I think I’m going to live by this from now on.

I Can’t Get No Satisfaction…

That’s pretty much how I feel lately, but today actually turned out to be a good day. Heard 2 Rolling Stones songs today. Then, this evening Brad and I went out, which was good since I’ve been feeling like we haven’t been going out lately. We went and saw We Bought a Zoo, it was really cute, I loved it. Then, we were planning on going to Red Lobster for dinner, but the place was packed and it was over an hour wait, so we decided to head back to Plant City and try a place called Buddy Freddys for dinner, it was okay, nothing to write home about though. Then, we ended the evening with alcohol, pool, air hockey, poker, music, and good conversation. I think things are going to be okay.

I think I would like Plant City a lot better if I could find a new job and make some friends out here. It’s tough out there though. I’m trying though and right now, that’s all I can do…

Matt Damon helps a little, he’s a hottie!

I was finally off today and spent the day cleaning the house, then this evening Jeff and Emily came over. Jeff fixed our closet and then we had dinner together. I really wasn’t feeling well today and there’s nothing picture worthy to put in here…

I’ve been having a hard time lately. I miss Orlando, I miss my family, I miss my pets. Plus, I hate my job, this store has been nothing but a nightmare for me and I want to quit everyday that I’m there. I’m constantly on the search for a new job, but it’s hard out there. I put in applications everyday and barely hear anything back. It’s like Billy Joel says, “So the graduations hang on the wall, but they never really helped us at all, no they never taught us what was real.” And that’s how I feel. I feel like my bachelors degree did nothing but hurt me because every job I apply for I’m either overqualified or underqualified for. For entry level jobs, it’s…oh, you have your bachelors, you’re overqualified for this position, but for jobs in my field, oh, you only have your bachelors degree, we need you to have a masters. Then, working for the same company for the past 8 years has hurt me too. You would think loyalty would factor into the equation, but it doesn’t because then it’s…oh, you’ve only had one job, you have no experience, you don’t know how to do anything else. Funny, all these years I thought I was doing the right thing by going to school and keeping the same job, but apparently not. It’s frustrating and depressing all at the same time. I feel like I’ve worked my ass off all these years for nothing. And I just hate Plant City, there’s nothing here, it doesn’t leave much room for opportunity, even though I’m not limiting myself to just Plant City, I’m searching all over…Lakeland, Brandon, Tampa and anywhere in between. Then, this whole living together thing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either.I feel like we’ve turned into this boring couple. We used to go out and do stuff all the time and have fun and now it seems like we don’t. I feel like we’re too young to be this old. And I just feel like I’m missing everything in Orlando…I missed Alive after Five, my friend’s going away party, and rocking out with friends and family. I just feel like I’m missing so much and it’s hard. I guess I’m just feeling homesick…
